Film Crew Slide

This is a slide from Session 2. It is a basic film production crew. Every crew is structured a little differently, but most (successful, happy) crews use a structure resembling this one. Also see the Articles page for more discussion on film crew positions.

Film Production Process

This is a slide from Session 2. It diagrams the basic five steps of a film production. Note how the script is used at all the production steps. It is possible to make a bad film from a great script, but it is not possible to make a great film from a bad script.

Budget Spreadsheet

This is a film budget spreadsheet I developed for the independent Christian filmmaker community. Enter the film information in the first sheet, and the budget breakdowns in the other sheets (click the sheet tabs along the bottom of the window). The breakdowns are automatically summarized on the first sheet. Can you say snap? Use the TAB key to navigate to the next cell. Send me an email if you have any questions or have suggestions for improvements.

Free Warm Card

Print this warm card to a sheet of high brightness paper (94 or better). Also, be sure your ink jet heads are not clogged. Then use it to white balance your camera and it will result in a nice warm image.
